Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago — AgriAssure’s Founder took center stage at the Catalyst 2025 Conference, hosted by the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the role of technology, AI, and regulatory compliance in shaping the future of agriculture and food trade.
The event, a flagship initiative aimed at driving economic transformation, brought together high-level government officials, industry leaders, and innovative entrepreneurs. The panel, which included the Minister of Trade, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Agriculture, tackled key issues such as export growth, investment in agri-tech, and regulatory modernization to support Caribbean businesses entering global markets.
A New Era of Agricultural Trade & Compliance
During the Agriculture Track panel discussion, AgriAssure’s Founder highlighted the urgent need for digital transformation in regulatory compliance for food and agricultural exports. They emphasized how AI-driven compliance tools can help businesses navigate the complex regulations required to access markets like Canada, the U.S., and Europe, ensuring faster approvals, reduced costs, and greater efficiency.
"Too often, businesses in the Caribbean have world-class products but face unnecessary roadblocks due to regulatory challenges. AgriAssure is bridging that gap by providing AI-powered solutions that make compliance easier, faster, and more affordable," they stated.
The Founder also addressed how Caribbean businesses can capitalize on new trade agreements, funding opportunities, and government support, stressing that investment in technology is no longer optional—it’s a necessity for global competitiveness.
Government & Private Sector Collaboration
The discussion underscored the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors to build a resilient, tech-enabled agricultural ecosystem. The Minister of Trade spoke about expanding market access and improving regulatory frameworks, while the Minister of Finance emphasized the need for financial incentives and investment in agri-tech ventures.
